First ride of 2011….wet and gritty…..felt good and looking forward to the ride home and hopefully a lot more commuting by bike days ahead.

Cool and damp this morning, but just enough to get the eyes open and the blood moving. This is offical Bike to Work Week. There’s a chance of rain most of the week, but it’s just water. Ride, smile and enjoy. Make that gas guzzling jalopy in the garage feel neglected!

This morning I rode to work for the first time. A mere 8 miles, but I’m glad that I actually got myself out of bed a little early and got my blood flowing from the start. Feels great.

I’m commuting every day by bike now that I’m back at 1RP. How about the rest of the team? We need to get the count on the bike rack pumped up. Let’s hope for less rain and wind and more sunshiine. The Challenge starts next week.

Must have hit something on the way home yesterday, Rear tire was flat when I put the bike away last night. Don’t have a spare tube and no time to get one till this evening.

FYI. The trip log is up on the main page, but it’s a little tricky to see the link. Click on the title ”Click to Log a Trip”. The map function doesn’t appear to work on AEP’s version of Internet Explorer but you can log trips on the simple form.

Wet day today, Ehh? I didn’t melt.

… rode in today along the Olentangy Trial – around campus area I passed a phalanx of ROTC guys marching in fatigues. They hollered ”bike!” as I approached. I hollered back ”soldiers!”

Rode in today on the trail from Battelle\OSU off King easy ride really wakes you up in the morning! Did not really need coffee today.
